16. Removal and Installation of the Conveyor Center Section Assembly.
Removal of the center section assembly begins by
performing
the
following
maintenance tasks outlined separately in the lesson:
o Remove the conveyor assembly from the vehicle.
o Remove the conveyor chain assembly.
o Remove the electrical wiring harness from the conveyor.
NOTE: All item numbers refer to Figure 18.
o Remove three nuts (2), lockwashers (3), flat washers (4), and screws (5) from
each hinge half (1).
WARNING
Be sure to support the center section when the hardware is
removed and toggle clamps are raised to prevent injury to
personnel.
o Raise both toggle clamps (6) to release the tension on the tube assemblies
(7) and remove the tube eye from the hooks (8).
