o Remove the electrical wiring harness from the conveyor.
When you have completed the maintenance tasks, continue removal of the take up
section assembly by following the steps outlined:
NOTE: All item numbers refer to Figure 13.
o Remove the three nuts (4), lockwashers (5), flat washers (6), and screws (7)
that secure the hinge halves (8) to the take up end section.
Allow the
hinges to remain attached to the conveyor center section (9).
o Raise the toggle clamps (10) to release the safety hooks (11) from the tube
assemblies (12) and remove the tube assemblies.
Remove the ball assemblies
(13) and wear strips (outlined as a separate maintenance task in this
lesson).
o Remove the two pins (14) from the take up end section.
o Remove the clip (15), pin (16), rubber latch (17), two screws (18), flat
washers (19), lockwashers (20), and brackets (21).
o Separate the take up end section from the center section.
