Install the two setscrews (5) that secure the
flipper block to the support bar and tighten the setscrews.
NOTE: All item numbers refer to Figure 10.
Install the dead end section by aligning the dead end assembly (1) with the
conveyor assembly. Install the connecting link (4), two flat washers (3), and two
new cotter pins (2) on both sides.
NOTE: For the next two maintenance procedures,
the
installation
process
will
consist of reversing the removal process.
11. Removal and Installation of the Take Up Section Assembly.
NOTE: All item numbers refer to Figure 12.
Removal of the take up section assembly begins
by
performing
following
the
maintenance tasks outlined separately in the lesson:
o Remove the conveyor assembly from the vehicle.
o Remove the conveyor dead end section assembly (1).
o Remove the conveyor chain assembly (2).
DO NOT remove the chain assembly
from the conveyor.
o Remove the roller assembly (3).
