15. Removal, Disassembly, Assembly, and Installation of the Conveyor Toggle Clamp
and Tube Assembly.
NOTE: The following procedures apply to both toggle clamps and tube assemblies.
WARNING
DO NOT attempt to remove or release both toggle clamps at
the same time.
The conveyor could collapse and cause
injury to personnel.
NOTE: All item numbers refer to Figure 17.
The conveyor toggle clamp and tube assembly are removed following the steps listed:
o Raise the toggle clamp (1) to release the tension on the tube assembly (2)
and release the tube eye from the hook (3).
o Remove the six screws (4) and toggle clamp (5) from the conveyor center
section (6).
o Remove the screw (7), flat washer (8), lockwasher (9), and the tube assembly
(2).
The conveyor toggle clamp and tube assembly are disassembled following the steps
outlined:
o Remove the screw (10), nut (11), lockwasher (12), flat washer (13), and hook
(3).
o Turn out and remove the clevis (14) from the toggle assembly (5).
o Remove the screw (15) and flat washer (16).
Remove the clevis (17) and brace
(18) from the rod end (19).
o Back off the jamnut (20) and remove the rod end (19).
Remove the jamnut from
the tube assembly (2).
Assemble the conveyor toggle clamp and tube assembly by reversing the disassembly
process.
To install the toggle clamp and tube assembly, reverse the removal procedures.
