o Loosen the five setscrews (5, 6, and 7) and remove the two locking screws
(8).
Using a drift pin, drive the shaft (9) from the motor mount side
through the sprocket assembly (10), pillow block (11), spacer (12), sprocket
(13), spacer (14), and pillow block (15).
Remove the drive shaft.
Remove
the two keys (16) from the shaft. Remove the sprocket assemblies (10 and 13)
and spacer (14) from the conveyor assembly.
o Remove the two screws (17), flat washers (18), and lockwashers from each of
the pillow block assemblies (11 and 15). Remove the pillow block assemblies
and shims (20 and 21) from the conveyor assembly.
o Separate the sprocket halves (22 and 23) by removing the cotter pin (24), pin
(25), and coupling chain (26).
o Separate the sprocket (27) from the hub (28).
The installation process is accomplished using the following steps:
o Assemble the sprocket (27) on the hub (28) and install the two locking screws
(8). DO NOT TIGHTEN THE LOCKING SCREWS AT THIS TIME.
o Secure the two sprocket halves (22 and 23) together with the coupling chain,
install the pin (25) through the master link of the coupling chain, and
secure it with a cotter pin (24).
o Install the shims (20 and 21) and the two pillow block assemblies (11 and
15).
Secure each pillow block assembly with two screws (17), flat washers
(18), and lockwashers (19).
o Install the shaft (9) through the pillow block (15). While driving the shaft
into the assembly, install in order:
spacer (14), key (16) in the shaft
keyway, sprocket assembly (13), and spacer (12).
Drive the shaft partly
through the pillow block (11). DO NOT DRIVE THE SHAFT COMPLETELY THROUGH THE
PILLOW BLOCK.
o Install the key (16) in the coupling sprocket assembly (10) keyway
and
position the coupling sprocket assembly to receive the shaft.
Drive
the
shaft through the sprocket assembly.
Ensure the shaft is aligned with
the
center of the conveyor assembly and tighten the two locking screws (8)
and
five setscrews (5, 6, and 7).
