(b) Inspect the starter relay switch terminals for burred or damaged threads.

Remove burrs. Replace switch if threads are damaged.

(4) Horn and Lighting System.

(a) Inspect the taillight assembly for burred or damaged threads.

Remove

burrs.

Replace all parts that have damaged threads.

Check socket and lamp.

Replace socket or lamp if defective.

(b) Inspect the blackout marker light for burred or damaged threads.

Remove

burrs.

Replace all parts that have damaged threads.

Check socket, lamp, and

terminal in body. Replace defective parts.

(c) Inspect the blackout headlight for burred or damaged threads.

Remove

burrs.

Replace all parts that have damaged threads.

Check blackout headlight.

Replace blackout headlight if defective.

(d) Inspect the infrared headlights for burred or damaged threads.

Remove

burrs.

Replace all parts that have damaged threads.

Check infrared headlights.

Replace infrared headlight if it is defective.

(e) Inspect the dome light for burred or damaged threads.

Remove burrs.

Replace all parts that have damaged threads. Check dome light. Replace dome light

if defective.

(5) Powerplant Wiring Harness.

(a) Inspect the harness for frayed, broken, or cracked insulation.

If the

harness shows any one of these defects, intermediate direct support maintenance

should be notified.

(b) Check for damaged

connectors

or

terminals.

Replace

connectors

and

terminals that show damage.

(6) Bilge Pumps and Related Parts.

(a) Inspect the bilge pump outlet tubes for cracked, distorted,

and

deteriorated conditions. Replace tubes that show any of these defects.
