(6) Inspect the fuel line hoses and tubes for wear, crimps, and cracks.
Replace
hoses that show any of these defects.
(7) Inspect fuel line fittings and connections for wear and damaged threads.
Replace parts that show these defects.
(8) Inspect the primary fuel filter for cracks, dents and nicks that may cause
fuel leaks. Replace filter that shows any of these defects.
(9) Inspect the secondary fuel filter for cracks, dents, and nicks that may cause
fuel leaks. Replace filter that shows any of these defects.
(10) Inspect the fuel filter element shell for nicks and cracks that may cause
leaks. Replace filter if the shell shows either of these defects.
(11) Inspect the fuel tank access covers for scratches,
dents,
and
marred
surfaces. Replace if defect has caused fuel leakage.
(12) Inspect the fuel quantity transmitter for cracks and deformation.
Replace
(13) Inspect the fuel quantity indicator for broken glass
and
damaged
case.
Replace the indicator if it shows either of these defects.
(14) Inspect fuel tanks for leaks.
Replace tank that shows evidence of leakage.
(15) Inspect fuel tanks for burred or damaged threads. Remove burrs.
If threads
are excessively damaged, replace the fittings or fuel tank.
(16) Inspect fuel tank resilient pads on the bottom of the tank retainer and on
the hull. Also inspect the rubber strips on both sides of the shield for loss of
resiliency, cracks, breaks, and cuts. Replace missing pads or pads that show any
one of these defects.
