MAINTENANCE OF THE M113 PER CARRIER - OD1601 LESSON 2/TASK 2
Test 1.
Disconnect circuit 28, 30, and 31 leads from the fuel quantity selector
switch.
Put ohmmeter probes on pins 28 and 30 to read through the switch.
If reading is 0 ohms, put probes on 28 and 31.
Reading should be infinity.
Turn switch to opposite position, reading should be opposite of readings obtained
above.
If any other readings are obtained, replace defective switch.
Test 2.
Disconnect circuit 31A lead from right fuel quantity transmitter and
circuit 30A lead from left quantity transmitter.
lead through transmitter to ground. Reading should be 0 to 30.5 ohms depending on
the amount of fuel in the tank.
If the reading is not in the above range, replace the defective transmitter.
Test 3.
Disconnect circuit 31A lead from right fuel quantity transmitter and
circuit 31. Put probes on both ends to read through the lead.
If reading is 0 ohms, lead is good.
If reading is infinity, notify intermediate direct support maintenance personnel.
Test 4.
Repeat test 3 above for circuit 30A lead to the left fuel quantity
transmitter.
Test 5.
Test fuel quantity indicator.
Test 6.
Test 7.
Disconnect circuit 28 lead from the fuel quantity indicator and fuel
quantity selector switch. Put probes on both ends to read through the lead.
If the reading is 0 ohms, the lead is good.
If the reading
is
infinity,
notify
