lead into the OHMS -DC jack (see figure 12). Put the red lead into the left OHMS
jack. Place the function switch on OHMS. Zero the meter by turning the OHMS ZERO
ADJ knob while touching the probes together. If the meter will not zero, replace
the batteries. If it still will not zero after the batteries have been replaced,
turn the meter in for repair.

c Electrically Zeroing the AN/URM-105 Multimeter.
To electrically zero
the AN/URM-105 multimeter, set the selector switch to the desired range of ohms
position (figure 13 on the following page).
Touch the probes together while
turning the OHMS ADJ (ohms adjustment) knob until the needle is over zero on the
top scale. If the meter will not zero, replace the batteries. If it will still
not zero after the batteries have been replaced, turn the meter in for repair.
