THE SIMPSON 160 MULTIMETER.
2 Electrically Zeroing the Multimeter. The multimeter must be set up and
zeroed before any resistance, continuity, or short circuit test is performed. The
procedure is slightly different for each multimeter.
a Electrically Zeroing the Simpson 160 Multimeter. To electrically zero
the Simpson 160 multimeter, first set the selector switch at the range to be used.
Then, put the black probe in the COMMON jack and the red probe in the + jack (see
figure 11). Touch the probes together and turn the ohms adjustment knob until the
needle is over the zero on the scale.
If the meter will not zero, replace the
batteries. If it will still not zero after battery replacement, turn the meter in
for repair.
b Electrically Zeroing the TS-352 B/U Multimeter.
To electrically zero
the TS-352 B/U multimeter, first set the range switch on the desired range of ohms
