If lines and connections are not loose, proceed to step 2.
Step 2.
Check to see if the injector and rack timing is correct.
If timing is incorrect, intermediate direct support personnel should be notified.
If injector and rack timing are
correct,

concludes
unit
maintenance
troubleshooting for this malfunction.
(3) Brake System - Problem:
PIVOT STEER BRAKES DO NOT RELEASE.
(a) Find the name of the system that is faulty.
For this example, the name of the system is the "Pivot Steer Controls,"
which would be found on TM page 2-51.
(b) Find the problem with the system.
The problem to be corrected in this example is, PIVOT STEER BRAKES DO NOT
RELEASE, which would be found on TM page 2-51.
Step 1.
Check
to
see
that
the
hydraulic
master
cylinder
breather
is
not
restricted.
If hydraulic master cylinder breather is restricted, clean it (TM, para 2-236).
If the hydraulic master cylinder breather is not restricted, proceed to step 2.
Step 2.
Check the pivot steer control linkage for proper adjustment.
If the pivot steer control linkage is out of adjustment, adjust it (TM, para 2-
235).
If the pivot steer control linkage is not out of adjustment, proceed to step 3.
Step 3.
Check the brake assembly.
If the brake assembly is defective, replace it (TM, para 2-239).
