i. Set the MODE switch to RCVR 1 PULSE and look at the pulse
output display on the oscilloscope at the start of the sweep.
(1) If the display is as shown in figure 1-22, part A, go to
step j.
(2) If the display fails to show as in figure 1-22, part A, go
to table 3-3, malfunction 8.
j. Set the MODE switch to RCVR 2 PULSE and look at the pulse
output display on the oscilloscope at the start of the sweep.
(1) If the display is as
shown in figure 1-22, part A, go to
step k.
(2) If the display fails
to show as in figure 1-22, part A,
remove the LR Tester
from the base, and check the wiring
and the MODE switch.
Refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-25.
k. Connect the equipment and set the controls as shown in figure
1-22, part B.
Set the MODE switch 1 to TGT.
Look at the
pulse output display on the oscilloscope at the start of the
sweep.
Press the FIRE switch to the second click (firing)
position.
(1) If the momentary display is as shown in figure 1-22, part B
while firing, go to step 1.
(2) If the momentary display fails to show as in figure 1-22,
part B while firing, go to table 3-3, malfunction 11.
l. Connect the equipment and set the controls as shown in figure
1-22, part C.
Set the MODE switch to LASER OUTPUT MONITOR.
Look at the pulse output display on the oscilloscope at the
start of the sweep. Press the FIRE switch to the second click
(firing) position.
(1) If the momentary display is as shown in figure 1-22, part C
while firing, the LR Tester is good. Refer to page 41 for
shutdown procedures.
(2) If the momentary display fails to show as in figure 1-22,
part C, the Xmt/Rcv assembly A1 (figure 1-11, part 9) is
faulty. Turn off the power, remove all cables, reassemble
the LR Test Set, and send it to depot.
6.
Adapter Cable Assembly Test.
In conjunction with the pass/fail test, the ACA must be tested.
