insulation, and cracked or broken boards.
If a board is
faulty, refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-22 for A2; step 3-23 for
A3.
If only the mounting bushings are faulty, refer to
MAINTENANCE, step 3-38.
Inspect for broken or frayed wires
and replace as required.
v. Check for the presence of the power supply board assembly A3
voltage label (figure 1-9, item 22). If the label is missing
or cannot be read clearly, send the LR Test Set to the depot.
4.
Pass/Fail Test Preparations.
Once you have successfully completed the visual inspection, the LR
Test Set is ready for the pass/fail test.
In order to conduct the
pass/fail test, you will have to have available an operational Laser
Infrared Observation Device, AN/GVS-5 (LR).
Complete the following
test preparations prior to conducting the pass/fail test.
Refer to TM 11-5860-
201-10.
b. Open the LR Test Set.
c. Remove the alignment bracket
assembly,
the
AC
power
cable
assembly, and the ACA.
CAUTION
is set to off.
d. Connect the AC power cable assembly to the LR Test Set PWR
jack. Connect the other end of the AC power cable assembly to
a 115 VAC, 0.5 ampere, 50-420 Hz electrical power source. If
the PWR ON indicator lights, replace the circuit breaker.
Refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-27.
e. Attach the alignment bracket assembly
to
the
LR
Test
Set
mounting post. Refer to figure 1-21.
