a. Remove and replace a faulty part in accordance with the
authorized maintenance procedures detailed in section 3,
"Maintenance," of this lesson.
b. Repair faults authorized at the
organizational
level
in
accordance with TM 11-6625-2684-12.
c. Where the repair is beyond the scope of direct
support
maintenance, send the LR Test Set to the depot.
When you detect a fault
during the pass/fail test, this lesson either
1) directs you to the
appropriate malfunction procedure located in
appendix A, table 3-3
(extracted from TM 11-6625-2684-30) or 2)
directs you to send the
LR Test Set to the depot.
Most repairs and/or corrective actions require access to the parts of
the LR tester.
To remove the LR tester from the base, refer to
removal procedures under VOLTAGE AND RESISTANCE MEASUREMENTS (page
23). When you have completed a corrective action, retest the LR Test
Set.
3.
Visual Inspection.
Conduct the visual inspection of the LR Test Set as follows:
a. Check the outside surface of the cover and base for damage.
If there is a need for paint touchup, refer to TM 11-6625-
2684-12 (see part A, page 12).
If there is damage to the
cover or base other than paint, send the LR Test Set to the
depot.
b. Inspect the decals and identification plates on the outside
surface of the LR Test Set.
If the identification plate is
damaged, refer to maintenance, step 3-40. If the calibration
tag
is
missing
or
defaced,
the
test
set
requires
recalibration. Send the LR Test Set to the depot.
c. Press the pressure relief valve (figure 1-9, item 18) red
button. If faulty, refer to maintenance, step 3-33.
d. Release the two latches from the two catches (figure 1-9,
items 29 and 16). Open cover and slide it off from the base.
If latches, catches or hinges are faulty, send the LR Test Set
to the depot.
e. Remove the alignment bracket assembly (figure 1-9, item 3)
from the mounting bosses on the lid of the AC power cable
assembly storage compartment (figure 1-9, item 1).
