c. Range One-Shot Output Pulse Check.
(1) Set the ON/TRIPPED OFF circuit breaker (figure 1-9, item
23) to TRIPPED OFF.
(2) Remove the AC power cable assembly (figure 1-9, item 2)
from the PWR jack (figure 1-9, item 26).
(3) Remove the LR Tester from the base.
(4) Connect the AC power cable assembly on the PWR jack.
(6) Connect the oscilloscope ground lead to the ground terminal
(figure 1-9, item 11).
(7) Connect a probe to the channel A input connector on the
oscilloscope.
(8) Set the MODE switch (figure 1-9, item 17) to RCVR 1 PULSE.
(9) Touch the channel A probe to TP1 (figure 1-19).
(10) The waveform should be as shown in figure 1-20, part C.
(11) Set the ON/TRIPPED OFF circuit breaker to TRIPPED OFF.
(12) Remove the probes from the test point and the ground
terminal.
You must also measure the target sync pulse, the receiver sync pulse,
and the laser pulse waveforms. In order to monitor these pulses, set
up the test equipment as indicated in figure 1-21. Perform the pulse
checks described below.
The appropriate waveform should appear on
d. Target Sync Pulse.
(1) Arrange the test setup as shown in figure 1-21.
(2) Set the MODE switch (figure 1-9, item 17) to 1 TGT.
A.
(4) The waveform shown in figure 1-22, part A appears
momentarily when the LR is fired.
e. Receiver Sync Pulse.
(1) Arrange the test setup as shown in figure 1-21.
(2) Set the MODE switch (figure 1-9, item 17) to 1 TGT.
B.
(4) The waveform shown in figure 1-22, part B appears
momentarily when the LR is fired.
