is faulty, refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-27.
m. Check the PWR, LASER PULSE, RCVR SYNC PULSE, and TGT SYNC
PULSE jacks (figure 1-9, items 26, 12, 13, and 14) for
mounting and shape of pins. If the PWR jack is faulty, refer
to MAINTENANCE, step 3-29. If the LASER PULSE jack is faulty,
send the LR Test Set to the depot. If the RCVR SYNC PULSE or
THE TGT SYNC PULSE is faulty, refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-30.
n. Check the two optic windows (figure 1-9, item 28) for chipping
or cracks. If any are seen, refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-34.
o. Check the optical shroud (figure 1-9, item 9) for splits,
cracks, and twists.
If faulty, refer to MAINTENANCE, step
3-34.
p. Check the mounting security of the alignment bracket assembly
mount (figure 1-9, item 10).
If the mount or its mounting
hardware is faulty or missing, refer to MAINTENANCE, step
3-39.
q. Check the mounting of both handles (figure 1-9, item 24). If
the mounting or the handles are faulty, refer to MAINTENANCE,
step 3-35.
r. Check the PWR ON indicator (figure 1-9, item 25) for mounting.
Check the red lens for cracks. Remove the lens (CCW). If the
lamp is missing, put in a new one. If the socket is damaged,
refer to MAINTENANCE, step 3-28. Reinstall the lens (CW).
s. Check the warning decal (figure 1-9, item 27) for damage and
legibility. If faulty, refer to TM 11-6625-2684-12 (see part
A, page 14).
NOTE: Whenever the LR Tester is removed from the base, the checks in
t, u, and v will be made.
t. Open the LR Test Set. Check the EMI gasket (figure 1-9, item
15) for breaks, cuts and secure attachment. If faulty, refer
to MAINTENANCE, step 3-32. Look inside the base. Remove any
metal particles, dirt, or foreign materials from the bottom of
the base.
