(1) If the voltage measurement drops exponentially (capacitor
discharge rate) to 0.0 V, taking 30 seconds or more, the
ACA is good.
Refer to the shutdown procedures described
below.
(2) If the voltage measurement drops immediately to 0.0 V, or
drops in less than 30 seconds, go to table 3-3, malfunction
12, step 3.

Shutdown.
Upon completion of testing and troubleshooting, shut down the LR test
set as follows. If a step is already done, go to the next step.
Set the LR PWR ON switch to off.
Remove the ACA from the LR.
Remove the wires from the power
supply.
Remove the LR from the LR Test Set. Put on the LR lens cover
and protective eyepiece caps.
Put on the LR cover.
Put on
the battery container cover.
Reinstall the LR Tester in the base.
Put the ACA in its storage compartment in the cover.
Turn off the power to the test equipment.
Remove and stow all
the test cables.
Remove the AC power cable assembly and the alignment bracket
assembly.
Put them in their storage compartments in the
cover.
Place the cover on the base and secure the latches.
8.
Maintenance.
The maintenance procedures performed at the direct support level
consist of the repair/replacement of faulty parts as identified in
the preceding inspection, test, and troubleshooting procedures.
Figure 1-25 is an exploded view of the LR Tester, with an
accompanying legend for parts identification.
The numbers in
parenthesis ( ) in the maintenance procedures refer to figure 1-25,
unless otherwise indicated.
