With all the powerpack and engine parts and components properly positioned
or removed, you can begin the removal procedures for the accessory gearbox.
The accessory gearbox removal procedure requires a total of three people.
The paragraphs below describe the removal procedures.
Disconnect the Hose Assemblies (1 through 4). After disconnecting
the hose assemblies, remove the flared conical seals (5 through 8)
(fig. 1-36).
NOTE:
The following callout numbers refer to figure 1-37.
Disconnect the Electromechanical Fuel System Cable Assembly (1).
You disconnect the cable assembly by removing the P33 connector (2)
from the electromechanical fuel system (3) and the connectors P35
(4) and P5 (6) from the speed pickups (5 and 7)); then move the
cable assembly (1) away from the engine (16).
Disconnect the Maintenance Indicator Engine Wiring Harness (8).
After you have disconnected the cable assembly, you must disconnect
the wiring harness (8).
Remove the P30 connector (9) from the
pressure switch (10); the P7 connector (11) from the filter bypass
pressure switch (12); and the P9 connector (13) from the oil
temperature transmitter (14). Then move the harness leads (15) away
from the engine (16).
