(f) If the temperature is below 40F, the quick start aid is
used (figure 24). To use this, the clip is removed and the starter
is engaged while the quick start lever is pressed and held for one or
two seconds.

CAUTION
If there is no oil pressure indication on the OIL
PRESS gage within 10 to 15 seconds, and if the
oil pressure lamp is lit, the engine must be
turned off and the malfunction checked.
(g) When the engine starts, the START pushbutton switch is
released immediately.
Then the clip is reinstalled in the quick
start aid. Ten to 15 seconds after the engine starts, the OIL PRESS
gage should be checked for proper indication.
If proper indication
is not obtained on the gage, and the oil pressure lamp is lit, the
engine should be turned off and the probable cause checked.
(h) The control panel indicators should be checked for proper
indication at this time.
