Next place the screw (1) through the clamp, squeeze the clamp
(2), and install a new nut (3) on the screw. Secure the tube
assembly by placing the two screws (4) through the four clamps
(6, 7, and 8), squeezing the clamps, and installing two new
nuts (9) and the washers (5) on the screws (fig. 1-16).

After you install the tube assembly, install the reduction
gearbox hose by sliding the hose (1) on the tube (5) and
putting two hose clamps (3) on the hose. Bend and slide the
hose on the elbow (4) and slide the clamps (3) to the ends of
the hose; then tighten the screws (2) on the clamps (3) (fig.
1-17).
