To adjust the cylinder (1) so it aligns with the holes in the
connector and the module bracket (3), pull the connector (2)
until the piston (7) reaches the end of its travel (out all
the way). Then, you must align the hole (8) in the lever (9)
with the upper hole (10) in the block (11).
When you have
aligned the holes, put the shank of a twist drill (12) in the
holes (8 and 10) to hold the lever (9) in place.
With the
lever held in place, you turn the connector (2) clockwise or
counterclockwise until the holes in connector (2) align with
the holes in the module bracket, and install the retaining pin
(4), securing it with a new cotter pin (5).
Then, you must
align the hole in the connector (2) with the nearest hole in
the piston (7), install a new cotter pin (6) in the piston
(7), and remove the twist drill holding the lever (fig. 1-9).
