The hydraulic pressure switch and its related hardware can be removed
with the APU in the compartment (Items 1 through 7).
o Disconnect the hose (1) from the pressure switch (2) and the
elbow (3).
o Disconnect the hose (4) from the elbow (5) and adapter (6).
Remove the elbow (5) from the APU wall coupling and the adapter
(6) from the valve (7).
NOTE:
The APU must be removed to perform the remaining steps.
o Remove the elbow (8) from the nipple (9) and the nipple from
elbow (10). Remove the elbow (10) from adapter (11). Remove the
preformed packing (12) and discard the packing.
o Disconnect the hose (13) from the APU bulkhead nipple (14) and
adapter (15).
Upon completion of removal, inspect all components to ensure they are
serviceable and discard any used packings.
Installation of APU compartment hydraulic hoses and components.
o Apply pipe sealant (Item 57, Appx. D, TM 9-2350-267-20) to all
male pipe threads.
o Where you use packing, ensure that a new packing is used.
o Connect the hose (13) to APU bulkhead nipple (14) and adapter
(15), and install a new packing (12).
o Install the elbow (10) on the adapter (11) and the nipple (9) on
the elbow (10). Install the elbow (8) on the nipple (9).
o Install the adapter (6) on the valve (7).
o Install the elbow (5) in APU wall coupling.
Connect the hose (4)
to the elbow and adapter (6).
o Connect the hose (1) to the pressure switch (2) and elbow (3).
