Backup Hydraulic Pump Sheave, Clutch,
and Support.
NOTE:
The next step only applies to vehicles 487 and above.
o Remove the cover assembly (17) from the clutch (4).
Remove and
discard the five seals (18, 19, and 20).
After inspection of the parts and defective parts replaced, assemble the
backup pump and clutch assembly using the following process.
NOTE:
The next step only applies to vehicles 487 and above.
o Install the new seal (20) on the cover assembly (17) using
adhesive, type I (Item 73, Appx. D, TM 9-2350-267-20).
o Install the support (8) on the clutch (4) using four new self-
locking screws (16).
o Install the cup (14) on the sheave (13) with three screws (15).
Install the sheave, with cup, on the sheave mounting shaft (12)
and secure it with the snap ring (11).
