o Start the vehicle's main engine with the throttle lever fully
forward (idle position).
o Adjust the pump speed by slowly moving the throttle lever for the
main engine back. DO NOT allow the tachometer reading to exceed
1100 rpm.
o Check the pressure gage on the hydraulic control panel. With the
pump operating and no actuators in motion, the pressure gage
should indicate a pressure reading of 100 to 300 psi (Fig. 2F).
o Operate the hydraulic system using normal operating procedures.

The upper rear door may be opened or closed manually.
Report any
cylinder or hydraulic system failures to organizational maintenance.
WARNING
o This door is very heavy. There is a requirement of three people
(one inside the vehicle and two outside the vehicle) to open or
close it manually.
Injury may result from attempting this
procedure alone.
o Keep hands and feet clear of door frame.
o Open dump valve only when operating upper rear door manually.
ALWAYS CLOSE THE DUMP VALVE AFTER COMPLETING OPENING PROCEDURES.
Failure to do this will result in door dropping very quickly
during normal operation.
To open the upper rear door without any hydraulic power you must use the
following procedure:
o Turn MASTER switch to the ON position.
o Open the dump valve (Fig. 11).
