These components of the hydraulic system support both the primary and
backup hydraulic system operations and are shown in Figure 10.
The
following paragraphs describe each component:
o Upper Rear Door Cylinder - hydraulically opens and closes the
upper rear door.
o Flow Control Valve - an adjustable valve used to smooth the
closing action of the upper rear door.
o Pilot Check Valve - prevents the upper rear door from dropping
rapidly if a hydraulic line ruptures.
o Dump Valve - enables the crew to open or close the upper rear
door, if you lose hydraulic power, by opening the dump valve and
shifting the ballistic shield directional control valve to either
the up or down position.
o Stacker Motor - drives the stacker sprocket and chain in one of
two directions (Fig. 7F). Determine rotational direction of the
motor by the stacker directional control valve.
Control
rotational speed of the motor by setting the flow control valve
(Fig. 2F).
o Stacker Brake - automatically applies whenever you remove
(Fig. 7F).
Prevents the stacker tray from moving until you
pressurize the motor supply line again.
o Conveyor Motor - drives the conveyor sprocket and chain in one of
two directions (Fig. 5F). Determine rotational
