the take-up end section, provides a shut-off capability from
outside the vehicle.
o The Upper Rear Door.
The upper rear door is hydraulically
actuated. In the raised position, it forms an overhead ballistic
shield providing protection between the M992 and the supported
howitzer. You also use it to deploy and position the conveyor
(Fig. 6).
From the closed position, it can be raised to any
position through 120 degrees.
Actuate the upper rear
mounted inside the rear door on the left
side.
In the event of
hydraulic power loss, prevent the door
from closing by a pilot
check valve which stops hydraulic fluid
backflow within the door

o The Stacker System.
Use the stacker system to transfer
projectiles between the conveyor and projectile racks (Fig. 7F).
Control the up and down movement of the stacker system by two
push-button switches mounted on the upper back of the chain
guard.
The switches actuate the solenoids attached to the
stacker directional control valve, which allows hydraulic fluid
