Step 9.
Install the gun elevation drive motor as described in subparagraph
2c(2) below. Then install the flexible shaft on the adapter, which is located on
the handwheel.
(2)
Installation of the Gun Elevation Drive Motor.
Step 1.
Apply a coat of tech petrolatum on the new
preformed
packing
and
install the preformed packing in the groove of the motor.
Step 2.
Apply a coat of grease on the shaft of the motor.
Step 3.
Apply a coat of grease on the threads of the four new lockscrews.
Then
install the motor, four washers, and lockscrews onto the gearbox.
Step 4.
Torque the four lockscrews to 20-23 ft-lb (3 mkg).
Step 5.
Install the motor guard, two washers, new lockwashers, and screws
(located under the gun elevation motor) onto the motor. Torque the two screws to
20-23 in-lb (23-26 cmkg). Install two washers, screw and new locknut (located on
top of the gun elevation motor) onto the motor guard. Torque the screw to 3-5 in-
lb (4-6 cmkg).
Step 6.
Coat the pin, which attaches the clevis to the brake assembly handle,
with grease. Then install the clevis, pin, washer, and new cotter pin on the brake
assembly handle.
Step 7.
Install plug 2W305P1 onto jack 2A202J1 (located underneath the gun
elevation drive motor).
Step 8.
Manually traverse the turret to 6400 mils.

Step 9.
Manually depress the 25mm gun
to
0
mils.

Install the 256m gun barrel.
