Step 9. Close and secure the power unit access door and then raise
and secure the trim vane.
Step 10.
The vehicle should be driven to check operation of the
steering system.
The vehicle should not veer when the yoke is
centered.

Replace Steering Shaft Assembly.
This maintenance task will
cover the removal and installation of the steering shaft assembly.
(1) Initial Setup.
(a) Tools. General mechanic's tool kit:
automotive, 1/2 inch
drive, 0 - 175 ft-lb torque wrench.
(b) Materials/Parts. Three self-locking nuts, two lockwashers,
and steering shaft assembly.
(c) Personnel
Required.
