Introduction
In the previous task, we learned that the purpose of PMCS is to discover and
correct defects before serious damage or failure occurs. This task deals primarily
with troubleshooting and inspection procedures that should be followed to remedy
any adverse condition or failure to the M113A1/A2 powerplant, fuel, electrical or
the brake systems.

Troubleshooting General
Troubleshooting is the systematic isolation of defective components by means of an
analysis of trouble systems, testing to determine defective components, and
supplying remedies. Each symptom of trouble or malfunction given for an individual
unit or system is followed by a list of corrective actions necessary to remedy the
malfunctions.
