(1) Hull Maintenance at the IDS/ICS Level.
The manuals that contain
procedures to be performed by the IDS/IGS maintenance on the M2/M3 hull have
the identifying number TM 9-2350-252-34-1.
These manuals are further
divided into volumes for the type of maintenance operation being performed,
and if the manuals are lengthy, into parts. These manuals contain a metric
conversion chart and DA Form 2028.
(a) Volume 1. TM 9-2350-252-34-1 is divided into two parts. Part 1
and Part 2 contain three chapters. The chapters in each of these parts will
be discussed in the subparagraphs that follow.

Chapter one contains the introduction, general information,

the repair parts, special tools, TMDE, and support equipment, the services
to be performed upon receipt, troubleshooting, and general maintenance
instructions. Chapter three deals with troubleshooting. It covers how to
troubleshoot, the mechanical procedures to be performed, direct support
electrical system test set (DSESTS), fighting vehicle system (FVS), hull
lowest replaceable unit (LRU) troubleshooting; message words and fault
indexes, and the follow-on procedures for the fan control box, heater
control box, and the vehicle distribution box.
