This task will provide a description of the controls and indicators that are
necessary to operate the Bradley fighting vehicle turret and TOW launcher
components.

Equipment Description and Data
a. Purpose, Capabilities, and Features.
The following subparagraphs will
describe the purpose, capabilities, and features of the turret and TOW launcher
components.
(1) 25mm Gun.
(a) The 25mm gun is a rotor installed, externally powered, automatic
gun.
(b) The 25mm gun
can
fire
armor-piercing
(AP)
or
high-
explosive (HE) ammunition.
(c) The 25mm gun can fire single shots, 100 25 rounds per minute, or
200 rounds per minute.
(d) The weapon control box allows the selection of ammunition and the
rate of fire.
(e) The 25mm gun can be operated with electrical power or manually.
(f) The vehicle interlocks prevent the 25mm gun from firing electrically
if:
1 the 25mm gun is below 1ƒ over the rear deck;
2 the 25mm gun is over the cargo hatch cover, and the cargo hatch
cover is open past the POP-UP position; and
3 the 25mm gun is over the driver's hatch cover, and the driver's
hatch cover is open past the POP-UP position.
(g) The ISU allows day and night vision for aiming the 25mm gun.
(2) Coax Machinegun.
