The right camshaft gear drives the
blower and the tachometer, while the left gear drives the fuel pump
drive gear.
When installing the camshaft gears in the gear train, you must time
them with each other, the camshaft, and idler gear by aligning the
timing marks, stamped on rim of each gear.
The integral balance
weight of the components and the crankshaft balance out the rotating
and reciprocating forces in the engine enabling it to operate
smoothly throughout its entire speed range.
