IF THE ENGINE EXHAUST DUCT WAS REMOVED FROM THE ENGINE,
HEAT FROM THE ENGINE CAN SET OFF THE SPRINKLING SYSTEM IN
BUILDING.
g. Starting the Engine.
Through the driver, the lead soldier
controls all operations of the engine and transmission.
Have the driver set the VEHICLE MASTER POWER switch (4) on
the driver's control panel (5) to the ON position (fig. 1-
30).
After making sure all personnel are clear of the powerpack,
have the driver start the engine.
Once the engine has
started, perform the after-start checks (TM 9-2350-264-10).
