o. Cover the Powerpack Openings. If you are not going to ground
hop the powerpack immediately, install the intake cover (7) over the
screen (5) and cover the precleaner hose (8) with a plastic sheet and
tape (fig. 1-20).
WARNING
MAKE SURE THE HEAT SHIELD ASSEMBLIES (1 THROUGH 4) ARE NOT
DAMAGED OR MISSING. DAMAGED OR MISSING HEAT SHIELDS COULD
RESULT IN FUEL CELL DAMAGE AND AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE
(FIG. 1-21).
p. Inspect the Engine Mount, Heat Shields, Plenum, and Air Box.
You must inspect the engine mount (5) for a broken or loose
centerguide (7), and ensure the mount two pins (8) are not bent or
broken, or the flex mount rubber has not broken (fig. 1-21). If you

for bent or cracked flange mating areas (10) and holes or pits in the
plenum opening (11)(fig. 1-20).
If you find damage, replace the
plenum and air box according to TM 9-2350-264-20-1.
