Now install the vehicle ground cable following the procedures
contained in paragraph 4a on page 10 of this task, Unstow the
driver's seat and squad seat four (if installed).
This completes the procedures for removing and installing the vehicle
power distribution box.
In the paragraphs that follow, the
procedures for removing and installing the battery/jumper conductor
bus will be discussed.
d.
Battery/Jumper Conductor Bus.
To remove the battery jumper/
conductor bus, place the FIRE SUPPRESSION switch in the MANUAL
position. Then stow squad seat four (if installed) and the driver's
seat.
WARNING
Electrical current can cause burns.
Remove the
vehicle ground cable before starting this task.
Next, remove the vehicle ground cable and the power control
compartment cover.
The procedures for removing each of these items
were covered in paragraph 4a on page 5 and will not be repeated here.
WARNING
Battery posts and cables touched by metal objects
can short circuit and cause burns or other
injuries. Use caution when working with tools or
other metal objects.
Do not wear jewelry when
working on the electrical system.
