Also located on the left side of the night sight is the field-of-view
(FOV) selector. The FOV selector allows you to select a wide or narrow
FOV, depending on the target range.
Additionally, the four-position
actuator switch allows you to control the operation of the cooling
function of the night sight by controlling the coolant cartridge.
The boresight collimator attaches to the night sight to align the optics
of the night sight and the LD/R. You perform optical alignment:
(1) When installing a night sight.
(2) After rough handling.
(3) When replacing the LD/R.
