o Your next step is to press the SYSTEM TEST switch to the up position
to activate the system test.
The light sequence should repeat as
shown above except the yellow FAULT light should not come on.
o Now turn the MASTER switch OFF and observe the crew T/A panel. The
green POWER ON light will remain on. If the green POWER ON light
does not remain on, troubleshoot the crew fire detection as shown in
TM 9-2350-267-20.
o Now turn the crew T/A panel MAINTenance switch to the vertical
position (power off) and observe the crew T/A panel.
All lights
should go out. If not, troubleshoot the AFES as shown on TM 9-2350-
267-20.
o Finally turn the crew T/A panel MAINTenance switch to the horizontal
(power on) position.
With the completion of the above listed procedures, you have completed the
required testing procedures to ensure the crew AFES is functioning properly.
During the next portion of the subcourse, you will be introduced to the
procedures used to test the engine AFES.
