o Now lift the red guard which covers the crew T/A panel MANUAL
DISCHARGE toggle switch.
Push the toggle switch upward to the
discharge position and release it. The personnel ventilator system
should automatically engage in the exhaust mode within 8 to 10
seconds after actuating the system.
If the personnel ventilator
blower system does not activate, troubleshoot the system as outlined
in TM 9-2350-267-20.
o Shut off the personnel ventilator blower by pressing the blower
RESET switch, located on the accessory control panel.
o Now lower the red guard cover so it will cover the MANUAL DISCHARGE
switch.
o Turn the T/A panel MAINTenance switch to the vertical (power off)
position.
WARNING
Make sure the crew T/A panel MAINTenance switch is
turned to the vertical position.
o With the T/A panel MAINTenance switch in the vertical (power off)
position,
reconnect
the
electrical
connectors
to
the
crew
compartment AFES extinguishers.
panel MAINTenance switch to the horizontal (power on) position.
o With the crew T/A panel MAINTenance switch in the horizontal (power
on) position the light sequence should react as follows:

The green POWER ON light comes on immediately and stays lit.

Within 6 seconds, the green PASS TEST light should come on.
-
PASS TEST light will go out.
-
The yellow FAULT light comes on and remains lit.
o Should the above sequence not occur, troubleshoot the crew fire
detection system as outlined in TM 9-2350-267-20.
