Step 9.
If +24 vdc is not obtained up to this point, troubleshoot
the electrical system. However, if fuel is being pumped out of the
disconnected line, check for leaks at the fuel injector lines.
Step 10. If leaks are observed when checking the fuel injector
lines, tighten or replace the lines; if the fuel lines are okay, then
check the coolant.
Step 11. Remove the radiator cap, start the engine and check the
coolant for gas bubbles. If gas bubbles are observed rising in the
coolant, notify IDS maintenance to replace the cylinder head gasket.

Conclusion
The operating procedures, safety practices, and maintenance problems
on the 4000 pound and the 6000 pound capacity forklifts are all very
similar. It is important that the mechanic and the supervisor become
familiar with these tasks so that safe operations can be performed
with this equipment at all times.
