Procedural Steps for Unloading the 25mm Gun Feeder.
WARNING
Accidental firing of the gun could kill or injure soldiers.
Make sure the ARM-SAFE-RESET switch is in the SAFE
position.
Step 1.
Move the ARM-SAFE-RESET switch to RESET and then to SAFE.
Step 2.
Remove the 25mm gun guard and then open the gun cover.
These
procedures, when needed, can be found on page 2-169 of TM 9-2350-252-10-2.
WARNING
Hands can be crushed if the gun rotor moves.
Turn the
turret power off before reaching into the gun rotor.
Step 3.
Move the TURRET POWER switch to OFF.
Step 4.
Move the manual safe handle to the SAFE position.
Step 5.
Open the coax machinegun access doors.
These procedures, when needed,
can be found on page 2-172 of TM 9-2350-252-10-2.
Step 6.
Disconnect the AP and HE links from the links in the AP and HE link
eject chutes (figure 7, view A, on the following page). Use a screwdriver to pry
the links apart, if necessary.
Step 7.
Close the coax machinegun access doors.
