the left to remove the chute from the journal (figure 7, view B, on the previous
page). Remove the AP link eject chute from the 25mm gun area. Remove and discard
the AP links from the AP link eject chute.
Step 9.
Pull out the feed select solenoid knob to the HE position.
CAUTION
Empty ammo links can jam the 25mm gun feeder if the links
do not align in the stripper rail.
Guide the empty ammo
links onto the stripper rail while the ammo is being
unloaded from the 25mm gun feeder.
NOTE
It may be necessary to move the forwarder back and forth to
release the upper clutch override knob.
The upper clutch
override knob should be checked to make sure it goes back
in after the 25mm gun feeder is unloaded.
Step 10.
Unload the AP ammo from the 25mm gun feeder by placing a 14mm ratchet
wrench on the upper feed shaft extension with the wrench handle up and to the
right. Pull out and hold the upper clutch override knob. Guide the AP ammo links
onto the stripper rail while unloading the 25mm gun feeder. Turn the 14mm ratchet
wrench to the left until the last round of the AP ammo is clear of the feeder.
Press the AP forwarder release lever, as needed, to release tension on the links in
the AP ammo chute. Turn the 14mm ratchet wrench to the left until the upper clutch
override knob is seated. Remove the 14mm ratchet wrench.
Step 11.
Manually depress the 25mm gun to maximum depression.

Step 12.
Remove the HE link eject chute from the 25mm gun feeder by squeezing
the latches and pulling the HE link eject chute to the right, away
