from the 25mm gun feeder (figure 7, view C, on page 51).
Release latches.
Disconnect the HE links in the HE link eject chute from the HE link coming out of
the 25mm gun feeder. Pull the HE link eject chute down and to the left, and remove
the chute from the journal. Turn the HE link eject chute and pull out of the 25mm
gun receiver area. Remove and discard the HE links from the chute.
Step 13.
Push in the feed select solenoid knob to the AP position.
Step 14.
Unload the HE ammo from the 25mm gun feeder by placing a 14mm ratchet
wrench on the lower feed shaft extension with the wrench handle straight down.
Pull out and hold lower clutch override knob.
Guide the HE ammo links onto the
stripper rail while unloading the 25mm gun feeder. Turn the 14mm ratchet wrench to
the left until the last round of the HE ammo is clear of the feeder. Press the HE
forwarder release lever, as needed, to release tension on the links in the HE ammo
chute. Release the lower clutch override knob. Turn the 14mm ratchet wrench left
until the lower clutch override knob is seated. Remove the 14mm ratchet wrench.
Step 15.
Remove the 25mm gun feeder.
These procedures, when needed, can be
found on page 3-34 of TM 9-2350-252-10-2.
WARNING
Soldiers could be killed or injured by ammo.
Make sure all
ammo is removed immediately.
Step 16.
Push in and hold the timer release rod.
NOTE
If the wormshaft nut cannot be turned manually, use the
handcrank assembly to turn the manual drive gear hub to the
left until two clicks are heard.
