Step 15.
Stack the AP ammo boxes.
CAUTION
Rounds not correctly aligned can jam in the ammo can and
chutes.
Jams can damage the feed system. Check that the
rounds are aligned and even at the tips.
NOTE
Steps 16 through 23 apply to loading 25mm AP ammo for the
first time. Step 24 applies to reloading 25mm AP ammo.
Step 16.
Prepare the first ammo belt by placing it on the vehicle floor with the
links on the bottom. Point the rounds to the left side of the vehicle. The empty
single link should be to the rear of the vehicle.
Check for misaligned rounds.
Align all misaligned rounds with the other rounds.
Step 17.
Prepare the second ammo belt by placing it on the vehicle floor with
the links on the bottom. Point the rounds to the left side of the vehicle. The
double link should be next to the empty single link of the first ammo belt. Check
for any misaligned rounds. Align all misaligned rounds with the other rounds.
CAUTION
Links can bend if the rounds are not removed properly.
Bent links can jam the feeder.
Step 18.
Remove the first round from the second ammo belt by holding one round
down while pulling the other round up and free. If the round does not release from
the link, stop pulling on the round. To free the round from the link, twist and
pull up on the round at the same time.
Step 19.
Join the second ammo belt to the first ammo belt by placing the empty
single link on top of the empty double link.
Align alignment lips of the empty
single link with the alignment grooves on
