Procedural Steps for Loading/Reloading 25mm AP Ammo.
NOTES
The 25mm AP ammo is loaded and reloaded in the same manner.
The total number of rounds required during the reload
depends on the number of rounds left in the ammo can.
If using TP-T ammo in the AP system, be sure HE-AP selector
switch is in HE and AP SS is selected.
Step 1.
Traverse the turret to the AP load position (4350 mils).
These
procedures, when needed, can be found on page 2-152 of TM 9-2350-252-10-2.
Step 2.
Set the turret travel lock.
These procedures, when needed, can be
found on page 2-141 of TM 9-2350-252-10-2.
Step 3.
Move the TURRET DRIVE SYSTEM switch to OFF.
Step 4.
Move the TURRET POWER switch to OFF.
Step 5.
Open the turret shield door.
These procedures, when needed, can be
found on page 2-139 in TM 9-2350-252-10-2.
Step 6.
Open and remove the AP ammo can door from the AP ammo can by turning
the handle and removing the AP ammo can door (figure 5, view A, on the following
page).
Step 7.
Clean the loading rails by wiping them with a clean cloth.
Step 8.
Stow the squad seats.
