Step 13.
Unstow the squad seats.
These procedures, when needed, can be found in
TM 9-2350-252-10-1.
NOTE
Thirteen ammo boxes, AP or HE, can be stowed in the IFV
ammo racks. Thirty-two ammo boxes, AP or HE, can be stowed
in the CFV ammo racks.
Step 14.
Fold down the backrests of seats No. 4, No. 5, and No. 8. Unbuckle the
straps on the ammo racks. Unstow the HE ammo boxes, as needed, from the IFV ammo
racks. Fasten and tighten the straps on the ammo racks. Then, raise the backrests
of seats No. 4, No. 5, and No. 8.
Step 15.
Stack the HE ammo boxes.
Step 16.
Unbuckle straps on the ammo racks.
Unstow the HE ammo boxes, as
needed, from the CFV ammo racks. Fasten and tighten the straps on the ammo racks.
Step 17.
Stack the HE ammo boxes.
CAUTION
Rounds not correctly aligned can jam in the 25mm ammo can
and chutes.
Jams can damage the feed system.
Check that
the rounds are aligned and even at the tips.
Step 18.
Place the first ammo belt on the vehicle floor with the links on the
bottom. Point rounds to the left side of the vehicle. Empty single links should
be to the rear of the vehicle. Check for misaligned rounds. Align all misaligned
rounds with the other rounds.
Step 19.
Place the second ammo belt on the vehicle floor with the links on the
bottom. Point rounds to the left side of the vehicle. The double link should be
next to the empty single link of the first ammo belt. Check for misaligned rounds.
Align all misaligned rounds with other rounds.
