Step 15.
Apply grease to the pin that attaches the clevis of the connecting link
to the gearbox. Then install the connecting link, pin, washer, and new cotter pin
on the gearbox.

Installation of the Traverse Drive Motor.
Step 1.
Coat a new preformed packing with tech petrolatum and install preformed
packing in the groove on the side of the motor that goes onto the gearbox. Coat
the shaft of the motor with grease and coat threads of the four new lockscrews with
grease. Then install the motor, four washers, and lockscrews on the gearbox.
Step 2.
Torque the four lockscrews, attaching the motor to the gearbox, to
20-23 ft-lb (23-26 cmkg).
Step 3.
Coat the threads of two screws with grease.
Install the motor support,
two washers, and screws on the turret.
Step 4.
Coat the threads of two screws attaching the lower clamp to the motor
support with grease.
Install lower clamp, four washers, two screws, and new
locknuts on the motor support. Do not tighten locknuts.
Step 5.
Coat the threads of two new lockscrews attaching the upper clamp to the
lower clamp with grease. Install the upper clamp, two washers, and lockscrews onto
the lower clamp.
Step 6.
Torque the two lockscrews on the upper clamp to 65-75 in-lb (75-88
cmkg).
Step 7.
Torque the two locknuts connecting the motor support to the clamps to
65-75 in-lb (75-88 cmkg).
NOTE
A new instruction plate should be installed only if a worn
or damaged instruction plate was discarded in step 4 of
subparagraph 2b(4) on page 69.
Step 8.
Install new instruction plate, if necessary, on the motor guard by
installing four screws, washers, retaining straps, new lockwashers, and nuts.
