Step 9.
Coat the threads of four screws connecting the motor guard to the upper
clamp with grease.
Install the motor guard, four washers, new lockwashers, and
screws on the motor. Then torque the four screws to 20-23 in-lb (23-26 cmkg).
Step 10.
Install plug 2W307P2 onto jack 2A201J2, located under the motor.
Step 11.
Install the gunner's slope indicator.
This procedure is described in
subparagraph 2c(3) below.
Step 12.
Coat the rod end clevis of the connecting link with grease.
Then
install the rod end clevis, pin, washer, and new cotter pin on the motor brake
release handle.
Step 13.
Adjust the traverse drive brake linkage.

Step 14.
Check the operation of the turret traverse in the power mode.
These
procedures, when needed, can be found in TM 9-2350-252-10-2.

Installation of the Gunner's Slope Indicator.
Apply primer and sealant to the threads of three screws connecting the slope
indicator and guard to the bracket located on the turret.
Install the slope
indicator, guard, and three screws on the bracket.

Installation of the Gunner's Turret Position Indicator.
Step 1.
Install plug 2W5P4 onto jack 2A9J1, located on the back of the turret
position indicator box. Install the bracket with the box, too washers, and screws
on the turret.
Step 2.
Install four plugs on four jacks on the ISU, as follows:

2W201P1 on 2A1001J04
(b)
2W101P1 on 2A1001J01
(c)
2W103P4 on 2A1001J03
(d)
2W103P3 on 2A1001J02.
