WARNING
Soldiers on top of the vehicle in the path of a
moving TOW launcher could be killed or injured.
Check the top of the vehicle to ensure the path
of the moving TOW launcher is clear.
WARNING
Fast
motion
of
the
TOW
launcher
during
boresighting could cause injury.
Make sure that
the TOW launcher and turret are in the MANUAL
mode.
Move the TOW launcher very slowly during
boresighting.
CAUTION
Operating the TOW elevation handwheel with both
the TOW ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever and the GUN
ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever in the MANUAL
position will break the linkage.
If the GUN
ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever is in the MANUAL
position, place it in the POWER position before
manually operating the TOW launcher.
(9) Move the TOW ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever to the MANUAL
position.
This is done by pressing and holding the pushbutton,
moving the lever to the MANUAL position, and then releasing the
pushbutton.
(10) Press and hold the pushbutton on the GUN ELEVATION DRIVE
SELECT lever and move the lever to the POWER position. Then release
the pushbutton.
(11) Next, move the TURRET TRAVERSE DRIVE SELECT lever to the
MANUAL position. To do this, press and hold the pushbutton and move
the lever to the MANUAL position.
Release the pushbutton when the
lever is in the MANUAL position.
CAUTION
Too
much
force
will
damage
the
boresight
telescope.
Do not jam the boresight telescope
into the TOW launcher.
