with both the TOW ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever

and the GUN ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever in the

MANUAL position will break the linkage.

Ensure

the GUN ELEVATION DRIVE SELECT lever is in the

POWER position before manually operating the TOW

launcher.

(18) When the boresight telescope reticle crosshairs are aligned

on the aiming point, look into the eyepiece and check the elevation

alignment of the TOW reticle on the aiming point. If the elevation

crosshair of the TOW reticle is on the aiming point, the TOW launcher

is boresighted in elevation. However, if the elevation crosshair of

the TOW reticle does not align on the aiming point, it must be

aligned.

To align the elevation crosshair of the TOW reticle,

perform these steps:

(a) Use a flat tip screwdriver to turn the TOW boresight

screw (figure 41) until the elevation crosshair aligns on the target

aiming point.

(b) Remove the screwdriver after alignment is achieved.
