Introduction
Bradley fighting vehicle, it will be necessary for the commander and/
or gunner to use the backup sight to view and aim at the target.
Thus, it is important that the line of sight of the backup sight be
aligned with the lines of sight of the weapons on the vehicle.
This task describes the procedures for boresighting the backup sight
on the Bradley fighting vehicle.
2.
Boresighting the Backup Sight
a.
The backup sight is boresighted immediately after the 25mm gun
is boresighted.
The turret and ISU controls should not be operated
until the backup sight is boresighted.
Since the backup sight is
boresighted on the same target as the 25mm gun, the handwheels and
controls should not be moved.
